-//Research Synthesis//: [[http://downloads.frc.org/EF/EF14B56.pdf|Induced Abortion and Breast Cancer]]+The numerical risks associated with induced abortion (and its related circumstances, which vary by study) are listed for each study below.((This entry draws heavily from [[http://downloads.frc.org/EF/EF14B56.pdf|Induced Abortion and Breast Cancer]].)) The [[common_problems_in_abortion-breast_cancer_studies|quality of the studies]] assessing the relationship between induced abortion and breast cancer varies. Many studies concerning breast cancer risk have shown induced abortion to be a risk for breast cancer, in both western and non-western societies. Of the 72 epidemiological studies we have assessed that differentiate induced from spontaneous abortions (or whose data have been re-analyzed to do so), 21 studies show some positive and significant relationship between induced abortion and breast cancer. Seven studies show a positive and marginally significant relationship between the two. Two ecological epidemiological studies have also shown an association between the two.
